A nice forum post outlined how to setup OpenVPN on your Nokia 770. This is a great way to ensure security, especially when using public Wifi connections.
There is really no excuse for connecting to the internet via a public Wifi spot and NOT using a vpn to protect your connection. This goes for the Nokia 770 or whatever device, laptop, cell phone, etc you use to connect.
